Luxottica and drugstore.com Form Strategic eCommerce Alliance to Expand ... CNNMoney.com (press release)

Valerio Giacobbi, Executive Vice President, Business Development, Luxottica Group, commented: "This agreement is a key step in Luxottica's goal to increase consumers' awareness of contact lenses as an important vision care option. Together with annual eye exams and high-quality eyewear and sunglasses, contact lenses are an excellent alternative for total eye health in a way that suits consumer's differing lifestyles and needs."

Under this exclusive agreement, Vision Direct, Inc., a leading online contact lens retailer and a wholly-owned subsidiary of drugstore.com, will collaborate with Luxottica Group to develop branded, contact lens ecommerce sites for the company's North American business, and provide customer care and fulfillment services. The alliance will enable Luxottica, starting with its retail brands, to offer a comprehensive solution for consumers to conveniently purchase contact lenses in-person, by telephone or online. In addition the two companies will pursue synergies such as purchasing contact lenses on behalf of the alliance and plan to cooperate in a number of other related areas, including Luxottica's North America-based wholesale business.

best way to dispose of a nonworking hot tub or spa?

I am looking both for inexpensive way to dispose of the spa and also the best way to deal with it environmentally. I live in the SF Bay Area.

If your trash removal company won't take the spa, my suggestion is to turn your spa into a, Raised Planter Bed, This is very attractive. You could make it a Perennial Bed, a Colorful Annuals Bed, or a mixture of both.

Theres two options
1 BURY IT IN YOUR BACK YARD
2 Call you local sanitation company and ask if they can expense you on it and your garbage seprately.

You could advertise : 1 Hot tub/spa - free.

I agree with putting a "free" sign out.
We had one some one gave to us years ago.
All it needed was all the plumbing. About $500+.
Well, it sat outside for 4 years.
We tried the "free" sign on it.
Eventually my husband took the chainsaw to it, cut it into small pieces and we took it to the local recycle yard.

What is the best form of spa treatment used to reduce age spots?

I'm trying to find a spa treatment for my mother. She is very self conscious about an age spot above her eyebrow and wants to attempt to fade it with a spa treatment and is confused as to which one to use. I have researched the local spa in the major town near us and have found no treatment to fade age spots. Any suggestions?

Natural aging and exposure to sunlight can cause the appearance of age spots. The more frequent noticeable signs of aging consist of darkened spots and age spots. Skin innovation treatments can help repair the skin to a more youthful look. A variety of treatment options are available at a spa center. One treatment or a mixture can be used to help to get the look that patients wish. A spa center can revitalize your skin. They use dermal fillers to add volume and improve the skin. Using the most recent technology they can remove age spots and encouraging collagen stimulation so that your skin can look as young as you want to. On www.agespots.net you can find all the information that you need about age spots.

What is the best way to remove bromine buildup off the sides of a home spa?

Getting the spa ready for winter and I have a lot of white buildup on the sides of the spa. Regular cleaners are not getting it done, nor is the spa cleaner my local store stocks (Spa Essentials). Any advice would be appreciated.

You may want to use a pressure washer. It sounds like you have hard water or calcium stains, not from the bromine. You may want to check your water hardness and use a calcium hardness decreaser to avoid the stains in the future. Good luck and happy hot tubbing!

What is the best website or way to make your own spa products?

Hi. I just opened a spa and just came out with my own perfume line for it. I use Obe products from Israel, I believe and it is getting costly. So as my fragrance, I want to make my own bath salts, oils for the skin, massage rub, facials, hand lotion, feet lotion, and more please.

You can either tell me or give me the site =o)

Greatly appreciated. If you have any questions you need help with, I'll be sure to respond to the fullest content.

Thank you.

Believe me, the best way is to go to your bookstore (Especially in the girl section!) Usually they have stuff about how to get rid of build up with lemon juice getting rid of dark circles with tea bags or cucumbers and so on. They also usually have specific warnings. You can also just browse in the book then type a special recipe on the internet and you'll find a lot more recipes. I do it almost all the time.

What is the best O-ring material to use in a swimming pool/spa water environment?

A few years ago someone told me the best material to use for an O-ring seal in swimming pool and spa water was peroxide cured EPDM (ethylene propylene dimonomer). Is this still the case or is there a newer material which lasts longer in the chlorine water environment?

no epdm is the best

Chlorine can eat away (waste and shrink) rubber compounds and the best would likely depend on industry experience. You should consult a pool expert (like NONAME?) to determine what is preferred use today.

Lubricants like Magic Lube (Teflon based) or Jack's Lube are always great.Just stay away from any petroleum based products as they will breakdown the rubber and cause it to crack.

What is the best way to do a Brazilian wax without going to a spa?

I want to get a Brazilian wax sooo bad but I don't want to go to spa to pay so much money. Is there a better way without having the itching from shaving.

There is a product called Micro Tweeze I believe it to be the best wax product of all time, it is simple, clean and inexpensive. Do not use a depilatory as that region is sensitive and likely to result in chemical burns that are far from sexy.

go to brazil

go to Brazil and ask someone to do the wax.

try depilitory cream

Check out that new book, "The Complete Idiots Guide to Brazilian Wax"

Spells it all out.

Good Luck!

Nope-you have to go to a spa if you really want one (although I don't know why you would want one).

you can clip to shorten the hair, then you can use a topical ointment from the drugstore to numb your skin. Also take a tylenol or two to also dull the pain. Then proceed to wax as usual.

just use duct tape. wax is a scam. the trick to hair removal is to do it fast so you dno't damage the deep roots. just cut the hair short if it's not short already, put the tape along the bikini line, work it in good, then pull it off fast and hard. doing it fast hurts a lot less because you pull the hair out of the root instead of pulling the root out of the skin.

Nair is the only thing I can think of.

email me and i will do it for you, for FREE

Get the wax and make sure that you do not make it too hot. I would use baby powder first to make the wax only stick to the hair, not your skin. (Just a light dusting) then make sure that you hold the skin tight and get to it. Might want a good stiff drink before (if you are over 21 of course) Be careful with a lotion hair remover like Nair. It works great, but make sure it stays external. It could burn delicate skin.

I use SurgiWax

do it yourself or get your man to do it for you.....just go to walmart and buy the waxing kit which is not even 10 dollars..all u do is spread the wax on and use the sticky strips to pull out the hair..it will sting for a minute then go away. then it will look Beautiful. but youll have to try it 3-5 times to get used to it.

What are the best "at home" spa fixes you can think of?

So I want to have a day of pampering myself without the cost of a hoity-toity spa. What are some spa like remedies that I could do at home?

Slather your hands and feet with lotion and put on gloves and socks while you wait for a mask and deep conditioner to set. You'll be so soft and smooth. Overnight is good too.

You can give yourself a home milk bath all you need is two cups of milk and a half a cup of honey after this treatment your skin will feel like silk.

this is my Spa routine I do at home, a facial (little packet can be gotten at the drugstore for .99), heat up some walnut or olive oil and put a hot oil treat on hair, fill the tub with hot water and epsom salt, get in tub while soaking rub feet with sugar and vaseline and let sit out side tub while I relax. I then shave my legs and then wash hair in the shower.

mix olive oil and sea salt to make a great scrub for hands and feet (not body, though, unless you have really dry skin).

mash an avocado to make a nice facial mask

wash hair with shampoo and baking soda, rinse, apply deep conditioner (or olive oil), wrap hair in plastic and then in a hot towel and let sit for 20 minutes

Whats the best way to have a relaxing spa experience in your house?

I want a day to relax, but i can't afford the fancy day spas so what can i do to have a very relaxing day. Likke what would contribute to a spa experience. Please any ideas
Thanks

lets see, bath and body has some spa body wash and bubblebath, so just light a few candles in your bathroom, play some soft music and sit in a nice warm bubble bath, thats how i relax at home

Where is the best place to build a Spa on the oregon coast?

I am looking to build a spa within the next 5 years on the oregon coast somewhere. Any idea? Does anyone know of a city that is in need of a spa that has a great view of the ocean?

Bandon is a growing area. There are several high end golf courses in the area and it is attracting people with money for recreation. The wives of those golfer would probably love a good spa to go to while the boys play golf. I don't know if they already have one.

what is the best day spa in Orlando Fla?

I plan to spend a day at the spa with 3 other women, ages 27-63. We need rest and relaxation from busy jobs and kids. Budget is a factor.

Absolutely, hands down it's the day spa at the Grand Floridian hotel that's part of Disney. It's right on Disney property. My mom is in love w/this place. I'm not sure of the prices but I recommend looking it up. Sorry, it's the only spa I know of
