well that sux

it only takes off water from your body

its true it only takes the water weight off, but it does wonders for your skin. i recomend it. sadly it is only temporary, but fun none the less.

It does not work. I spent money on this product and I feel like a fool. After sweating in a warm waxy lotion for more than one hour, I did not see any improvement.

How to make your own Slim body wrap that takes inches off your body at home?

Ive seen various products taht deal with using a body wrap to take off inches...
but is there a way to do it homemade instead of having to buy it?

This kind of weight loss is only water weight and not true weight loss. It is very temporary. It is something that people who can't stick to a diet or exercise look for. Nothing beats a diet and exercise.

Yeah its called diet and exercise

im watching this question im curious as well.

i dont think u should use all tat to slim up..if u wanna do sum exercise at home only u can mop the floor every day...u'll loose oodles of weight!!!....diet...as in noooooOOO junk...nd u can have as many fruits nd other healthy snacks...this is another way to loose weight..or at least control it...try it out!!!

make a clay body wrap. use 1 cup of bentonite or green clay, 1/4 cup of sea salt, 2 tbsp. of olive oil, and 2 cups of water or try wrapping yourself in saran wrap

How do I make an herbal body wrap to lose inches?

I would like to make my own body wrap to lose inches. What herbs do I need to buy to make the herbal wrap and any good/cheap places to buy them? I know I need to wrap with ace bandages and a thermal wrap over the top.
I know most people believe it is just water loss, but I've heard several say the inches stay off for weeks, not hours. Even if it is water loss, I still want to try this.

Wraps don't work. They are only temporary, it's water weight that will come back.

i want to know the same thing

How do you wrap the body for a slimming seaweed body wrap?

I have some idea about the recipes and the other requirements, such as keeping the body and room warm to promote sweating...But can anyone explain the actual wrapping technique? What do you use for slimming wraps? Is there something better/wider than tensor bandages? Where do you start wrapping? At the ankles and work your way up? Your arms? Chest, neck, hips... And just how the heck are you supposed to wrap your butt cheeks anyway?? I've tried it, and I can't figure out how to get the bandages in complete contact with the one area that women most want cellulite/fat control: their a**.

Any tips??
If I wanted to go to a day spa, I would. But there are none in my immediate area that offer slimming wraps...just detoxifying seaweed, etc. Nah, I want the kind of wrap that they use compression bandages for. The closest one is 2 1/2 hours away! And it costs $230. Plus they recommend doing a series of wraps. I can't afford 3-6 wraps at $230 a pop! Especially not if I can get a friend to help me do them at home. I just want to know if anyone out there who has HAD one can give me some pointers about wrapping techniques??

I went to a Sybaritic Spa seminar and they recommended wrapping in cellophane. You can use saran wrap. Due to the width of the saran wrap, you can cut it in half to speed up the application.

Start at the ankles, wrapping around and working your way up. Overlap the wrap covering up the center of your previous wrap. Make sure the pressure of the wrap does not impede your circulation.

Check this link for more details on wrapping. I hope this helps.

How to make a homemade BODY WRAP that works?

I've heard something about ace bandages and soaking them in some sort of mineral solution.. Does anyone know what that solution would consist of? I'd like to wrap up just a few parts of my body that I would like to slim down for a function that I will be going to in a few days, so I know that it is only temporary, but it would help! Only serious respondents, please.

Sample of essential oils
Lavender, sage, lemon, sandlewood, lemongrass, rosemary, grapefruit, olive oil

Sample of herbs
Alfalfa leaf powder, ground basil, chamomile flower powder, rose petal powder, rosehip powder

Clay Body Wrap Recipe
1 cup bentonite or green clay
1/4 cup sea salt
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 cups water

Boil water and add sea salt until it is dissolved. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Adjust the water if necessary to form a wet paste.

Rub the mixture over your entire body and cover yourself with thin towels or a clean white sheet. Most salons will recommend that you use proper wrapping sheets as the compaction helps to squeeze the tissues together for greater results.

Lay in the tub for a minimum of 45 min. to one hour.

Has anyone tried the detox body wrap that is supposed to make you lose weight and inches?

If you have tried it was it a home body wrap or done in a salon. And what were your results, did it work?

According to my doctor, there is exactly one and only ONE way to lose weight on a long term basis, eat less and exercise more. The fat on your body is like a bank account. If you deposit more than you withdraw, you gain. If you withdraw more than you deposit, you lose. Time to start counting calories, eat from a well balanced menu (consult a nutritionist, or a program like weight watchers or Jenny Craig) and exercise more. Then all you have to do is adjust the calories you eat to be less than what you burn and over time, done on a daily basis, you will slowly but surely lose weight, to the tune of 3500 calories per pound of body fat. You do the math. At first, your weight may not change much (or may even slightly go UP!) even though your calorie balance is negative, because you are shifting fat into muscle and muscle is more dense than fat, so your measurements may change while your weight stays pretty much the same for a while, but then, as your muscle mass levels off, you will start losing weight at a faster rate. Things like what you say, wraps, dietary supplement pills and the like are all temporary... if they do anything at all, that is. It never ceases to amaze me at how many people want that silver bullet to drop ten or twenty pounds overnight without having to do any real work to accomplish the goal...

I tried a seaweed body wrap at home before. I read about it in a magazine---and I went out and bought all this seaweed at a health food store and bought a stockpile of shower curtains--that's what I wrapped myself in. Every day for 2 weeks I slathered mushy--fish smelling seaweed all over my body and wrapped myself in a shower curtain in the bathtub for 30 mins to an hour. I don't think it did anything except make me stink like fish......seriously.....

sounds like bull... maybe when it's done you might sweat a bit, maybe it will draw minerals and water some excess salt, might clean your body from extra dead cells. you might lose a few pounds, but next day they'll be back...

Does anyone know a good recipe for a home made body wrap?

I have taken body wraps before in the larger cities where they are available. I am located in a one horse town. I would like to know if anyone had any success with a home made body wrap? Can you give me some directions on how to do one? Thank you!

Body wraps are tricky to do yourself- get someone to help you wrap yourself up in the bandages soaked in product.

Used coffee grounds are good to use as a scrub to help cellutile. Anything w/ algae is great to use because it is a detox. If you are wanting a refreshing wrap, use peppermint oil mixed w/ olive oil or jojoba oil. These will smooth skin & soften it up.

If you are wanting to lose water weight this is the way to go, but remember as soon as you rehydrate yourself, the weight will be right back. It is just a temporary loss of inches.

Once you have yourself all wrapped up, wrap yourself in a plastic sheet of some sort to help you sweat out toxins & impurities.

I do not, but I'm waiting for the ebook that the owner of my favorite website will publish - soon, I hope. The address is
http://www.romancing-the-soap.com
I did not subscribe to the ezine (newsletter) simply because the website is owned by a medical practitioner. If anything, that would make me even more "careful" (I'm a nurse and naturally difficult to sway). I subscribed because I finally found someone who does give a hoot about consumers, someone who cares about all the downright lies we're told by those who try to sell us inferior products, etc. When I read www.romancing-the-soap.com the other day I found out that the ebook will also contain recipes for body wraps. Based on the quality of the entire site, I think I will finally buy an ebook with confidence (I've yet to buy ebooks, but I believe this one will be one of a kind!)

What should I use to wrap myself when I do a body wrap at home?

It's the body wrap to lose inches off my waist, what should I use.. towels?..plastic??...

Thanks for yout time!

Heres the info, you should def check out the sourced link below:

Making some cloth wraps:
You can use medical bandages or a cotton sheet that has been cut into strips to wrap your body in. Make sure that these are small enough to handle and roll them up ready to use. The main object of these bandages is to allow the fat cells to collapse under the compression of the bandages or wraps.

Application process:
Dip your bandages or cloth wraps into the mix one by one making sure your mud mix stays warm, you may need to re-heat it if it cools too quickly. Thoroughly soak each bandage into the mix then wrap it around your body starting from your ankles and working your way up. If you are getting help with this one by all means wear underwear it wont make much difference to the outcome. It is however important to stay warm, so if your room is too chilled wrap yourself in a washable blanket lay back and relax for a good 60 minutes.

Body Wraps - A Great Cellulite Treatment

by Tara L Livingston

Body wraps are a popular treatment often done in the day spa environment. The aim of a body wrap is to tighten and firm the skin, remove toxins from the skin and to help the body lose unwanted fluid build up. This makes it a great technique for cellulite removal and reduction with many people reporting positive benefits.

Body wrapping works as follows. Elastic cloth or seaweed have different minerals or ingredients soaked into them. The cloth or seaweed is then wrapped around the problem areas. Often the cloths are heated to introduce sweating to remove the toxins. The whole treatment takes about 1 hour.

The ingredients that the cloths or seaweed are soaked in can include exfoliate, mud masques, massage oil, anti-stress oil or cellulite cream. Other natural products include seaweed extract and coffee.

Many people report that they believe their bodies are firmer and slimmer after a body wrap. They also report that the appearance of their cellulite has diminished. One of the fantastic things about body wraps is that there are many other benefits besides reducing cellulite. Body wraps can exfoliate and soften the skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, reduce stress and improve your health.

The cost of a body wrap can vary, with some spas charging as little as $100. More expensive spas charge over $300. The actual cost will depend on the length of the treatment and how much of your body you wanted to be treated. Some people forgo the expensive of a spa and buy a home body wrapping kit to treat themselves at home.

As with any cellulite treatment it shouldn’t be used in isolation. Other treatments such as massage, cream, exercise and dieting should be combined to produce the best result. You can do these treatments at home or have a trained beauty technician do it for you at your local spa.

One of the downside of body wrapping is that the results aren’t permanent. You will need to continue the treatment over the longer term to maintain your results. This means it can add up to be an expensive cellulite treatment if you are not careful. Many people use it has a relaxation method and believe that the money is well spent on the calming affects.
