How much do you pay for a full body massage?

I am a massage therapist. I do one hour full body massages and I have the option of going to the person's house or they come to mine and I can massage them in my zen room. I only charge $30 for a massage and I know that is really cheap. If you get massages how much do you spend on them? If you don't get massages how much would you spend on one?

Typical rates for LMT/CMTs in most urban areas I've lived in start at $1/min and get to $1.50/min for spas. This is for office practices. A home practice would have to charge less (probably $45/hr.).
IMO, have a first visit special of $45, a $60 one-time rate, and $45 for multiple visit packages).

Most massage therapists charge at 45-60 bucks an hour.

In my opinion, if you don't charge $1 per minute, you are cheating yourself. It is not just the time you are being paid for, but also your training.

Depends on the length of time.
1/2 hour - roughly $30.00.
Hour - $60.00

60 for an hour. sometimes they run specials around valentines day or something for like 45$$

The going rate is $60 an hour. Sometimes people will give a discount if x number of massages are paid in advance. For example, you can charge $500 for 10 massages. If you are good, raise your rates to $60!

I charge $70 an hour. Not everyone is willing to pay that kind of money once a week, but that's OK. I only need 16 people a week willing to pay that kind of cash.

The old expression, "you get what you pay for", holds true. If a client see you charge $30, and the see a high end massage at $80, I would look for someone in between. Charge $60 and pass out alot of 1/2 off coupons. It gives credibility to your services, plus the client is happy because they think theyre getting a bargain. The more continuing ed you have the more you should charge.

What can you expect from a full body massage?

I work for a dentist, and one of our patients is a massage therapist. Instead of paying for her dental work, she is trading out massages. She comes into our office once every 2 weeks and does 20 min. chair massages for everyone. Occasionally the employees also get gift certificates for a one hour full body massage as a bonus. I have been holding onto mine for months, and finally decided to use it tomorrow. I have really no idea what to expect. Are you completely nude, do they use large sheets, do they use oils? Anyone who has had one, can you tell me what the normal protocal is?
I know any guy who reads this is going to be disgusted that I asked this, but here goes. I am not comfortable taking off my underwear, because #1 that kinda creeps me out, and #2 its that time of the month. Is it a big deal if I don't want to? Also, I have this weird thing about oil. I can't stand to have anything oily on me. Can I ask her to use something other than oil?

Usually you will be nude and covered by a sheet most of the time. She'll move the sheet when she wants to get at a particular part of you, like your back or legs. It's real sheet, not a towel, so you don't have to worry that it won't cover you. Most of the massage you'll be on your stomach. She'll use oil to make her hands move more freely during the massage. If you're not comfortable being naked under the sheet ask her and she probably won't mind if you wear underwear as long as your bra isn't tight or you're willing to unclasp it so she can massage your back.

It's a really relaxing experience. I don't especially like being touched, but I've enjoyed getting a massage from a good masseuse.

To answer your second questions (since I already talked about the underwear), you can ask her. Would lotion bother you? The idea is just to have something that allows her hands to move freely without friction. If she can't use lotion or oil, your skin will get rubbed raw. Why don't you call her before hand and maybe bring some lotion from home that you like so you're really comfortable. And since she's a woman too, why don't you tell her about your period. She might have special techniques for your back or legs to ease the discomfort we all know comes with that time of the month.

Yes..you should get completely nude when the therapist shows you into the room and leaves. You get under the sheets and possibly a blanket with a heating pad. They typically use an oil that is heated.

Just let the therapist know if they are going too deep or not enough. I like to be verbal so they know if they are doing good or not enough.

Most importantly..just relax and enjoy. It should be a pleasant experience.

Where can i get a good full body massage?

Is there such a thing where men get full body massage? You know get facials and get there feet rub kinda like a spa but for male and females? Or can i go to the same place where females go too?

You can go to the same salon it is all private and the clients modesty is maintained. You can also go to a college and have a massage by a trainee, the tutors keep a sly eye to check it's all going ok but with the college its at least half the price. What a bargain and it's lush!

I would check some of those tiny ads in the back of the sports page, they will usually have an asian theme to them.
Find out where go have about a hundred ( u wont spend that much)
remember this phrase
HAPPY ENDING.. they'll do your uh ..feet! >:)

If you where having a massage would you prefer a back massage or a full body massage?

I have only had a back massage. I have never had a full body massage.

i would like a fully body sounds like fun!

A back massage might be GOOD, but a full body 1, that would be simply SUPERB.

Nothing beats a FULL BODY massage. I should know cause I was once a massuse.

I'd take the FULL BODY 1 any time over just the back 1

full

full body, baybee, full body.

The Thai massage with a combination of the Swedish oil is my favorite whole body massage. They tend to spend more time on the legs, which improves my circulation in my feet. But anytime I can get a caring touch, I almost always say, "Yes."

is it safe to get a full body massage while taking clorithromycin or any other antibiotics?

is it safe to get a full body massage while taking clorithromycin or any other antibiotics?

If you are taking antibiotics to fight off an infection, you should wait until you finish the course. A massage can alter the balance of chemicals in your body and change the way medications work. Also a full body massage is like a workout for your lymphatic system as well as your muscles. it will tire your body out to a degree and this may be too much stress for you while trying to recover from an infection.

If you are taking these to prevent an infection, like after dental work or some very minor local surgery, and are not having any problems recovering you should be alright to recieve a massage.

In the wildest of worst case scenarios a massage could spread an infection from being local to becomming a life threatening systemic infection. Ex your badly infected big toe could experience an increase in circulation from the massage and the bacteria could travel into your blood stream. This is a small chance, but obviously not a risk worth taking just to get a massage.

Talk to your massage therapist and explain why you are taking the medication. If it is a temporary thing the therapist might ask you to wait for your appointment, but a course of antibiotics usually isnt too long to wait for a great massage.

Sure. I don't see how a massage could cause a problem with antibiotics or visa versa.

How old do you have to be to get a full body massage, regular body massage or any time?

Like what age do you have to be in order to go to a massage place and get one?

full body massage?

18 and up except if with a parent or gardian. some places will alow your parents to sign a waver saying that you can come in by yourself.

Has anyone ever received a full body massage while terribly sore?

I just hit the weight room for the first time in over a year. I'm so sore I can hardly move. Has anyone ever received a full body massage while in this condition? Was it worth it or should I just move on?

it's worth it. Just ask for the Swedish or relaxation massage while you are this sore. These are lighter pressure massages.

I have fibromyalgia so I know about all over soreness. Massage only made me feel worse...but it's a bit different than having worked out. I would just take a warm soak in the bath...maybe some epsom salts.

You should find it very helpful Massage will improve circulation, lengthen and straighten your muscle fibers, and help eliminate the lactic acid resulting from your workout.

How do you do a full body massage?

Can anyone please send me a link on how to do a full body massage? Thanks!!!!!

Is it better to get a full body massage from a females hands or a males hands?

Iam a male and iam 29 and i need and want a full body massage but i need advice on where to go and if its better to get a massage from a male or female? which hands are better? What do you all think?

Men's hands are stronger but you might feel weird being rubbed down by another man (kudos to you if you don't).

What do guys generally want in return for a (full) body massage?

My friend has offered to give me a full body massage if I give him something in return. And apparently he's really, extra emphasis on really, good at these, so it would have to be a great comparison.

Experience the Benefits of Massage.

by Ann Chester

Massage has been used to treat all kinds of medical conditions and disorders. Massage can be used to treat stress, it can help you relax and it generally promotes a feeling of well being. Massage therapy works to help all aspects of the physical system - the muscular, nervous, circulatory and immune systems.

Quite apart from the undoubted physical benefits of massage therapy, much of the benefit is psychological; it has to do with the feel-good factor of intimate contact with another human being.

One of the ultimate forms of stress relief is a full body massage. Most people who experience a full body massage cannot stop telling people how amazing they felt afterwards. The first thing that someone usually does after experiencing his or her first full body massage is book another full body massage! A common response from people who’ve experienced a full body massage is that for the first time in their lives they feel they’ve managed to attain total relaxation.

In addition to full body massage, massage can be used on specific, individual parts of the body. One of the main individual body parts that is subject to a specialist form of massage is the foot. Foot massage is generally referred to as reflexology.

Each year scientists show more and more conditions that are massage is effective in treating. No longer is massage just used in beauty spas, some estimates put a figure of 70% of hospitals now use massage as part of their treatment for patients. Massage therapy is no longer thought of as part of the alternative medicine field, but is now an established part of convential medicine.

Hospitals often now use massage in the treatment of chronic pain symptoms, infant care, joint and muscle mobility and stress management, and the list of disorders that can be treated with massage is growing every year.

Recent research has shown that massage can help lower blood pressure, probably due to reducing stress levels. Certain types of pain can be managed by massage, but to keep the pain under control the massages need to be on a regular basis. research has also shown that massage also helps to boost the immune system.
