The new color for 2010 has been chosen and you probably won't expect to see this color so soon. Normally, this color is worn through the summer months. However, because the economy is shifting gears it was appropriate to choose a more lively, relaxing, getaway color. People are looking for ways to relax and colors play a big part in the matter. The new, or should I say the top color for 2010 will be "Turquoise". Yes, this is a color that makes it's way on the runway and in the department store for the summer. But, Pantone, a fashion company who decides what colors to use for the fashion industry (they are president of all fashion merchandise, from accessories, clothes, shoes, home decor, and anything that's fashion) choose a color that was more universal. Since the economy is slowly picking they figured turquoise would liven up the industry.
Leatrice Eiseman, who is the executive director of Pantone Company describes turquoise as a color that can make you escape and is a color of freshness. Turquoise is just one of the colors that can relax you when you are stressed. It is one great color other than green that can make a room feel like a spa or a weekend getaway.
