What is a professional salon product that will make long, straight hair resistant to humidity?
I straighten my long hair, and it gets thick and puffy when it's humid. I used professional salon products like shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in, but I am looking for a professional product that will work to combat this humidity issue. I put so much work into making my hair look great, and when I step out of the house on a humid day, it's only a matter of time before it begins to lose it's straightness. Cost is not an issue, because I do believe that this type of product is a necessity for people who straighten their hair.
Choose hair products that are stated anti-humectant.
Professional brands that would carry such products are Nexxus, Biosilk, Kerastase (By Loreal).
After you shampoo, condition and towel dry your hair, apply a anti-humectant serum (CHI is a good one, contains ionic crystals that "melt" into your hair when heat is applied, hence fuller, shinier hair strands) then blow dry straight with a paddle brush.
To minimize frizzing or flyaways, use a silicon based hair spray that would seal the hair strands. :)
This works for my daily hair grooming routine. :)

yes salons can thin out thick hair by razoring it also a process called chipping it, and getting layers cut into it...its important to keep up on the trims and cuts. Also I use Pantene Pro V Smooth and Sleek which helps..and then while my hair is wet apply frizz ease or a similar frizz product to blow dry..I purchased an expensive flat iron from the salon but it was so worth it it makes my hair straight and smooth, not puffy or poofy..Lastly I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week and blow it out and straighten it , its not necessary to do daily...I'll run the flat iron over it daily just to straighten any bumps from sleeping but that really it...I think this should help you alot..goo luck!!!

I am looking for a leave in conditioner, or something like it, that makes hair super smooth and shiny, and smells great.
Bedhead makes some very good smoothing products, as does Matrix (which is one of the top products for volume too). Both of these are less than $15, and have good reps. Paul Mitchell is def. one of the drugstore kings of hair and I would say go for his first. Besides, they smell delicious!

I have really blonde hair and I was using Joico Violet Shampoo and Conditioner but that toned my hair out too much and made it look ashy.. I need something that is going to keep it bright!!!!

My hair is thick but I was never happy with it because I always liked soft hair so I used conditioners. Conditioners do make my hair soft but they never do it as they do it at the hair salon. At the hair salon, they always make my hair very soft, much better than all the common conditioners do.
So, which salon-quality product for soften hair do you suggest? I do not care about the cost, but please let me know what the cost is if you know.

My hair has always taken it's good ole time growing, I dont know if it has anything to do with that I have natural curly hair. (tight curls) It seems like Ive tried everything and nothing works. If you know of anything that truely does work. let me know.
GNC has a supplement called "Nourishair" that makes the hair grow faster, you can read what's in it by googling it. Be warned these pills are HUGE and you have to take 2 a day.
Also ProCaps labs sells a "hair skin and nails" formula that does the same thing, supports hair growth and health, and is smaller and easier to swallow.
If you take only Biotin [sometimes known as "vitamin H" ] alone, make sure you take at least 2.5 milligrams or 2500 micrograms [the same thing] a day because thats' a good amount to take. I use the Nourishair supplement from GNC now and my hair is growing faster than it did, but it took about 6 to 8 weeks of daily use to see results
